His practice is rooted primarily in painting, engaging with contemporary symbolic realism — a surrealist allegory in which classical oil technique merges with metaphorical imagery.

DMITRY BOITSOV
His central theme is the inner world of the human being — its vulnerability and metamorphoses, mirrored through symbols drawn from nature, the body, and cultural imagery.
He is currently preparing new exhibitions exploring social themes and the transformation of the self.

REMAINS THE PRIMARY LANGUAGE
PAINTINGS
IN MY PRACTICE, I EXAMINE THE INNER SHIFTS OF THE SELF AND THEIR REFLECTION IN ART.
Oil painting remains my primary language, though ideas often push beyond its boundaries — into sculpture, installation, and other forms of visualization. For me, technique is the instrument through which an idea takes shape and gains its force.
In my work, I bring personal experience into dialogue with a wider context, transforming lived feeling into symbol. What matters is not only to stir an emotional response, but to open a space where the viewer can meet themselves, question familiar perspectives, and arrive at their own conclusions.
Each project is, for me, a new point of entry into dialogue with the viewer — a chance to pose a different question and offer an unexpected angle.
